Overview

A morning flight will take you to Dire Dawa, the commercial city neighboring Harar. You will then visit the walled city of Harar and its gates, museums, the Rimbaud House, and the market place where you will find the Oromo, Ethiopian Somali and Harari people. In the evening you will also visit the famous Hyena Man performance — a human being feeding hyenas by hand and mouth. A short visit of Dire Dawa city, including its market places, will also be an addition before you fly back to Addis Ababa.

Finally, drive all the way back to Addis Ababa and enjoy a farewell dinner before flying back home.

Bale Trekking

You drive to Dinsho, headquarters of Bale Mountain National Park. Then, you trek to Moraro Mountain and Wassama valley. After that, you climb Mount Batu and camp around Gebreguracha Lake. Next, you trek to Senetti plateau, where en route you have a chance to see the endemic Ethiopian Wolf and Alpine Lakes. Finally, you drive back to Addis Ababa for a farewell dinner before departure.
