Overview
You drive to Dinsho, headquarters of Bale Mountain National Park. Then, you trek to Moraro Mountain and Wassama valley. After that, you climb Mount Batu and camp around Gebreguracha Lake. Next, you trek to Senetti plateau, where en route you have a chance to see the endemic Ethiopian Wolf and Alpine Lakes. Finally, you drive back to Addis Ababa for a farewell dinner before departure.

Drive from Addis Ababa via the Rift Valley of Ethiopia across the South-eastern Arsi-Bale Massifs to Dinsho, the headquarters of Bale Mountains National Park.

Trek from Dinsho South-west up the Web and Wollo Valleys to Fincha Abera Water Falls. Then continue to Moraro Mountain (3750m), camping beside a pleasant stream at Moraro.

Trek up the Wassama Valley across the mineral springs at Worgona to camp beneath the crags of Mount Batu in the Shaya Valley.

Climb Mount Batu before walking to the picturesque campsite in the Tegona Valley under the sheer cliffs beside Gerba Guracha Lake (6 hours).

Trek across Senetti Plateau, visit the Crane Lakes (Alpine Lakes) and en route spot the endemic Ethiopian Wolf and Giant Mole Rats; meet the vehicle on the Goba–Dolomena road, then drive down to Goba via Mt. Tulu Dimtu (4377m).
