Writing Style

As you probably know, many publications and sites do have a certain style/voice/structure they conform all their contents to.

13 Suns Tours doesn't bother with that. Our style is the individual style of each individual article by each individual writer. It's your piece, and your way of telling it.

Editorial Style & Policy

For starters, we do reserve the right to edit and to make changes to your article. Keep reading.Our editorial policies are pretty open with your style in mind:

1. Proofreading, English Language & HTML
We may check spelling, glance at punctuation and grammar.The most major thing we do is add and edit the HTML tags that make everything look right on-screen.

2. Major Changes.
Once in a while we might see something that needs a little more work. When it is so we contact you, the writer, with our suggestions for the relevant text. Then you and we will work together to finalise (finalize) any changes.

3. Accuracy, Libel & Originality.
When you submit your work to 13 Suns we give you as much freedom, as possible. We know you know your stuff, but at the same time, we have to state that when you submit your article, you also are agreeing to and stating that each of the following is true:

a. The article is accurate, to the best of your ability.

b. The article is not unfounded, and does not contain defame.

c. The article is original; that is, the article is your own writing, not someone else's, and the article and no part of the article does not infringe on someone's copyright. You retain sufficient rights and copyright to submit the article and those 13 Suns has permission to edit and publish it.

d. 13 Suns is not responsible or liable for any errors in your submission or for any problems, inconveniences, etc. that might arise with anyone from such errors.

What do you get?

We’ll take great care to present your materials in the very best possible light, will happily include brief information about you that we hope will bring additional attention to your work, and will pass on whatever comments we receive about it. Remember, you will continue to hold the copyright on materials we accept for electronic publication, and agree only to grant 13 Suns a license to publish the article on our website. Remember also that we may edit all materials as we see fit.

Length

We’re easy -- articles can be as short as a paragraph or two, and as long as about five pages

Contents we need

Almost anything that you believe tourists that comes to Ethiopia need to know . Articles on the Ethiopian History, Culture, nature, tourist attractions etc... . IN ADDITION we accept articles related to the Industry of tourism, like how to market tourism products on the net etc. If you still think you need some guidelines read the following points? But these so-called guidelines tell you only the tiny part of what you can do with your articles. Be broad minded and creative .

1. Upcoming events (festivals, concerts, sporting events.

2. If you're on the road or have just returned from some part of Ethiopia you can send us your updates for publication.Stories that focus on some aspects of life, interesting people that you met on your tour in Ethiopia, or experiences you have had. Your work as a reporter for 13 Suns will be valuable to travelers setting out on the road you've trodden.

4. If you believe you know Each and every part of Ethiopia , or just a particular place very well you can still help travelers with more information about the places you are very familiar with. What is the city/area famous for, where you can find museums, galleries, local ruins, famous buildings, etc... No one knows a place better than the people who live there, or better than those who have been there for enough time.

5. We do not know just you tell us.
