You start your birding at Gefersa reservoire ,then continue to Sululta plains, Debrelibanos-at the edge of the Blue Nile Gorge ,Chelekleka wet land,Koka Dam, Zeway Lake,road side to Wendogenet for wood land birds. Then you will have a full day birding at Wendogenet followed by a drive to Bale Mountains (the road sides are scenic and ornithologically exciting ) ; Full day birding at Bale Mountains ; lake Awassa, Abjata-shalla lakes National Park for lesser and greater flamingo.

Remark

Ethiopia is one of the richest in Bird life representing 9.5 % of the world’s and 39% of Africa’s birds.For a very great number of Falmingoes it is also possible to drive to Chitoo from Awassa. Another additional day allows the visitor to enjoy the tropical rain forest birds of Bishangari (Probably the only forest left in the main Ethiopian Rift system)
